Butler Water 5 is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a new and user-friendly text messaging service designed to keep our residents informed. This service will allow you to effortlessly receive important notifications and obtain specific information by simply texting the district.

We will officially launch this text messaging system to the public on January 1, 2026. Residents may receive an introductory text message from 91896 from Butler Water 5 regarding the service. If you prefer not to receive these messages, you can opt-out at any time by texting STOP. Please keep in mind that opting out will remove you from all future messages, including essential emergency alerts and updates sent by Butler Water 5.

If you do not receive the initial message, you can opt-in by sending the keyword "Butler 5" to 91896. Afterward, you will need to reply “YES” to confirm you opt-in. Subscribers can expect to receive notifications about various events, water outages, boil water notices, rate changes, and more.

Additionally, residents will soon be able to access on-demand information 24/7 by texting one or two keywords to Butler Water 5’s TextMyGov number, 316-364-7724. This service will provide quick access to information about outages, leaks, available services, and other relevant details pertaining to Butler Water 5.

We are enthusiastic about this new method of communication and look forward to keeping our residents informed with important district notifications. Similar systems have been successfully implemented by other government entities nationwide. Stay informed and stay ahead.
